Perhaps this is because of individual differences inside our appreciation of it. Beauty is in a person’s eye of the beholder. What one individual finds beautiful; another simply sentimental. One; attractive; yet another repulsive.

Elegance has been reported to be anything regarding appreciating equilibrium; balance; rhythm. It catches our interest; gratifying and increasing the mind.

It’s perhaps not the things indicated by artwork that becomes whether something is wonderful or ugly. Alternatively it’s how the thing is handled that means it is possibly inspirational.

Spiritual philosopher Emanuel Swedenborg suggests that what arouses our feeling that the human experience is wonderful isn’t the face area it self; but the passion shining from it. It’s the religious within the natural that stirs our affections; perhaps not the normal on its own.

Awareness to the religious

But they’d a remedy for this and the treatment was beauty. He reckons that the beautiful work of art provides consolation in sorrow and affirmation in joy. It reveals human life to be worth-while.

Splendor – A reminder of transcendent reality
